Carlo Caparas Called Out By Cebuano Talents Over Treatment To Them On Set

Cebuano talents called out Director Carlo Caparas.

CARLO CAPARAS – The talents coming from Cebu has called out the attention of Direk Carlo Caparas over the treatment of them on set and the injury of one talent.

Carlo Caparas is known for his works and creation of Filipino superheroes and comic book characters such as Panday, Bakekang, Totoy Bato, Joaquin Bordado, Kamagong, Kamandag, Elias Paniki, Tasya Fantasya, Gagambino, Pieta and Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang and among others.

He is also known for his numerous massacre films.

And lately, someone from Facebook, Mustard Seed, has called out the director in a lengthy post.

“Direk Carlo, I am taking the cudgels for all the “extra” like me who invested our time, talent and treasure to Audition and go thru the process of selection for us to be part of your film. Most of us, if not All, were accepted and promised “special roles”. But to our dismay your Talent Coordinator or whoever is in charge with handling this department bungled in his/her function and turned our dream into a nightmare,” the netizen wrote.

Moreover, based on the post, they were asked to report in as early as 3:00 AM or 6:00 AM but there was no one who attended their needs or to just even update them.

He shared the treatment with the talent as he is one of the talents as well.

The netizen further shared that one of the talents met an accident on his way to the set just to show professionalism.

Let me reiterate that our goal here is not to divide but to unite talents and Production people so that we can formulate order and fair practise beneficial to all parties so that our Cebuano industry can thrive and progress. We need the cooperation of everyone. Wala ta mangdaut og isig katawo to advance our personal agenda but we want to point out unfair practices so that dili pod mahulog nga kaluoy labi na ang mga gagmay nga film workers sama sa mga talents og extra.”
