The wedding of Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia impressed lots of people. Even the celebrity couple were overwhelmed by how things turned out. However, not everyone knew that the bride lost a “consistent partner” on that day. Her pet chihuahua named Bambi died on that day.
Based on the recent social media post of the actress, Bambi was given to her as a birthday gift when she was 9 years old and since then, she believed that the dog is her “guardian angel”.
Coleen also revealed in her social media post that the people who really know her know the role of Bambi in her life.
“Way before I met @billycrawford, I’ve had several scares and thought I was going to lose her, but she proved to be the strongest little baby,” the actress revealed.
In her social media post, Coleen Garcia also revealed that she would often tell Bambi since she was just a little girl to never leave her side until her wedding day. The dog continued to live until she reached 17 years old.
“On the night before we had to leave for the wedding, I saw how weak she was.. It broke my heart. I hugged her and prayed to God, thanking Him for her life and companionship; for using her to remind me that I was never alone, and that someone was always watching over me. I thanked her, too, and I told her for the first time ever that it’s okay for her to rest now…” Coleen stated.
According to the actress, she also prayed to God that if it is meant to happen, she hopes it would happen while they are not home so she would not have to see it. She revealed that it was at 8:26 in the morning of her wedding day when her driver informed her that Bambi passed away.
“How I felt was unexpected. I was purely filled with joy. I couldn’t even find it in me to be sad because I felt it would make me so greedy. How could I ask for more when God has blessed me with this much? She left me not a day before, not a day after, but waited until the actual DAY of my wedding…” she wrote.
