What is the ABS-CBN looking for in aspiring celebrities? Direk Lauren Dyogi Reveals
LAUREN DYOGI – Director Laurenti Dyogi, the Television Production Head of the ABS-CBN network, revealed what they will be looking for in applicants of the grand audition Star Hunt.
The Kapamilya network has organized a grand audition, the Star Hunt, for aspiring celebrities. It is going to be a lot convenient for those who wish their talent to be discovered and be part of the limelight.
Based on a report, the event which will give the people the chance to go audition for the ABS-CBN’s reality shows Pinoy Big Brother, I Can See Your Voice, Dance Kids, Tawag ng Tanghalan, Pilipinas Got Talent, and Little Big Shots will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on April 20-21.
Direk Lauren Dyogi has previously stressed that audition is one way to enter showbiz specifically just like through the Pinoy Big Brother, a reality show that has aired several seasons already.
The PBB is the gateway that opened Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu, Sam Milby, Gerald Anderson, and Melai Cantiveros among others to more opportunities in the showbiz industry. Surely, many people wanted to be part of the industry.
Based on a recent report in Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (PUSH), at the press conference of the Star Hunt, Direk Lauren Dyogi revealed what they are going to look for in the auditionees of the grand event.
According to the ABS-CBN TV Production Head, it would be hard to create a template as when they found Kim Chiu, Maymay Entrata, and Melai Cantiveros, they didn’t have yet the perception that they will become big stars.
“Melai (Cantiveros) is not your typical star, ‘di ba? Pero sila ‘yung minahal ng tao. Ang hinahanap namin, siyempre TV ‘to eh, ‘yung masarap panoorin sa TV,” the director said.
Based on the report, for him, Direk Lauren Dyogi is looking for the authenticity of the person most especially for a reality show like PBB. He stressed that what’s important is the personality.
“So kung PBB ‘yan, bumubuo ka ng isang cast o isang grupo ng housemates na iba-iba ng personalities para meron ganap,” he said.
Based on the report, Direk Lauren Dyogi also added that there is no need to really prepare in going on the audition caravan as they will be able to spot the potential of the auditionee and they will help in enhancing the potentials one has.
