Carmi Martin answered this rumor about the series starring Coco Martin
A rumor surfaced that Kapamilya primetime action drama series Sigabo, featuring action star Coco Martin as the lead star, is set to end soon.
For many years, Coco has been reigning in the primetime slot, from Ang Probinsyano to Batang Quiapo. His shows have received a warm welcome from his avid fans.
His current series, Sigabo, is still receiving support, especially from those who love Coco’s partnership with his real-life partner, actress Julia Montes.
A recent rumor caught the attention of the online community. It started from a blind item shared by entertainment writer Jojo Gabinete on PEP.
According to the blind item, the announcement of the series ending did not just surprise the artists and the production staff, but it also saddened them.
The surprise reaction was allegedly because they thought the series would continue to air until next year.
The unexpected early ending was attributed to one of the changes that will happen in the network, which is also going through a tough time. It was also said that the series will end before Christmas, and despite this, the cast and crew expressed gratitude to be part of this project that many people loved.
Then, two clues were shared. “Magaling na aktor ang bida,” and “Ang isang cast member ay kilalang-kilala.”
In the comment section of the Reddit post about this, several netizens mentioned Coco Martin’s Sigabo. Here are some comments.
However, veteran actress Carmi Martin, one of the cast members, denied that Sigabo will end soon. She pointed out that people should not wish for other people’s demise.
“Hindi po SIGABO ang nasa blind item. And let us not wish na mawalan po ng trabaho ang team. Para lang sa intriga. Hindi nyo po gugustuhin sa pamilya ninyo o sa kapwa ninyo na mawalan ng trabaho. Salamat po,” Carmi stressed.
