Sarah Lahbati Shares Tips To Parents in Preparing Their Firstborns To Having A Sibling
SARAH LAHBATI – Kapamilya actor Richard Gutierrez’s fiancee Sarah Lahbati revealed how they prepared their firstborn Zion for having a brother.
Celebrity couple Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati are very happy for their new baby boy. Based on a report, the couple recently welcomed a bouncing baby boy nicknamed ‘Kai’.
Baby Kai is the second baby of Richard and Sarah. The two celebrities’ firstborn is nicknamed ‘Zion’ and he is undeniably very fond of his baby brother as shown in the photos posted by their parents on social media.
Meanwhile, Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati were not only excited about the coming of their new baby. They also made sure that their firstborn does not feel left out because of his baby brother.
Recently, through a blog post, Sarah Lahbati revealed how they prepared Zion for having a baby brother. The actress posted some tips for parents who are set to welcome another member of the family.
Based on her post, the celebrity couple really made sure that they get to spend a lot of time with Zion prior to Baby Kai’s birth. The actress stressed that their firstborn is used to being their only son for four years.
According to Sarah, firstborns have the tendency to be so excited at the beginning of having a younger sibling but very jealous in the first few weeks. She stated that the two emotions alternate ‘depending on the situation’.
Based on her post, it is not only the actress who made sure that she spends a lot of time with Zion but as well as the actor.
“It would be good if your firstborn knows he can get some attention from dad if mom has her hands full,” she stated.
The other tips shared by Sarah Lahbati for moms include managing the time when the new baby is home and including the firstborn in tasks so he or she does not feel left out, letting other family members give attention to the firstborn, and allowing the firstborn to adjust to the new routines.
“Having a new baby means a lot of change! Try to space changes at home or in your routines so that your firstborn has time to adjust,” the actress wrote in her blog post.
Indeed, Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez did not just focus on the excitement over having a new baby but they also considered the feeling of their firstborn and preparing him into being a ‘Kuya’.
