Pinoy TV Host Kim Atienza Reveals Reason For Leaving “It’s Showtime”
The Filipino host Kim Atienza has finally revealed the reason why did he leave the Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime”.
Alejandro Ilagan Atienza or popularly known as Kuya Kim is a Filipino television host, actor, voice actor, weather reporter, and a former politician.
Kuya Kim regularly appears in ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol’s segment “Weather-Weather Lang” and in several Kapamilya shows.
Kim Atienza has also appeared on the noontime show “It’s Showtime” but suddenly disappeared since 2016 due to unknown reason.
Recently, the 51-year-old TV host has revealed the reason behind his disappearance on the noontime show.
Atienza said that he wanted to increase his knowledge in giving trivia and intensify his brand as ‘Trivia King’ following the footsteps of Ernie Baron.
“I left Showtime because I want to work on the equity that makes me strong as Kuya Kim and I’m Kuya Kim because the brand is Kuya Kim who gives trivia, Kuya Kim na pumalit kay Ernie Baron, the ‘Trivia King’ and I would like to focus on that,” Atienza said quoted by ABS-CBN.
The former politician added that his departure from the noontime show improves his performance on TV Patrol and Matanglawin.
However, Kuya Kim explained that he was still in contact with former ‘It’s Showtime’ co-hosts although he left the show.
