KZ Tandingan is back in “Singer 2018” for the breakout round.
KZ TANDINGAN – The Philippine’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan is to return to “Singer 2018” for the breakout round and will reportedly perform Freddie Aguilar’s hit song “Anak” in Mandarin version.
The Pinoy singer KZ Tandingan is definitely going back to the “Singer 2018” for the breakout or wildcard round.
Based on a previous report, she got eliminated at the 9th episode of the competition where she performed “Royals”.
The particular episode is a double elimination which resulted in her and Chinese contestant James Li to be eliminated.
With the unexpected result, KZ expressed in her statement, “I close my eyes because faith is seeing for me. I did everything I could, but the results are out of our control. Im going home tomorrow with a happy heart. This won’t be the last time the world will hear a filipino sing her heart out. Thank You Lord! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!”
As a farewell song for the competition, she performed “See You Again” and she is definitely seeing them again as she is set to return for the wildcard competition of the show.
According to a post on the Facebook page Kristine KZ Tandingan, she will perform the Mandarin version of the hit OPM song of Freddie Aguilar “Anak”.
The song is known internationally and has been translated already into numerous languages.
Based on another report, she is supposed to sing this for the final round and she reasoned out, “Kasi aside from it’s one of the most beautiful OPM ever written, sobrang sikat din kasi siya sa China so kung kakantahin ko man siya lalo nilang maiintindihan kasi alam nila ang kanta.”
“And alam mo ‘yun nakaka-proud na may OPM song na sobrang sikat sa ibang bansa na kung hindi nila trinanslate, hindi nila maiintindihan di ba? Kumbaga nagkaroon ng connection ang ibang lahi sa kanta ng mga Pinoy.”
But due to her unexpected elimination, she will perform it for the wildcard round where she will have a chance to grab a place to be one of the finalists.
