Why did Mariel de Leon delete her Twitter account?
MARIEL DE LEON – Actress and Binibining Pilipinas-International 2017 Mariel de Leon broke her silence following the deletion of her account on social media platform Twitter.
Actress-beauty queen Mariel de Leon has been bashed several times for her being vocal on certain issues in the political arena and other fields. She is the daughter of veteran actor Christopher de Leon and actress Sandy Andolong.
Mariel was crowned as the Binibining Pilipinas-International 2017. Based on a report, although she was not able to bring home the crown when she represented the country in the Miss International 2017 pageant, she had no regrets.
Mariel de Leon’s winning the Binibining Pilipinas-International 2017 crown opened her to lots of opportunities.
Celebrity couple Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong’s daughter was part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 official entry Ang Panday. She was one of the leading ladies of actor Coco Martin in the film.
Based on a recent report in Pep, Mariel de Leon also recently signed a contract with Regal Entertainment wherein she revealed she has already deleted her Twitter account for good.
“I think it would be best for me kasi that’s where I go all out talaga,” she said.
Meanwhile, according to the actress-beauty queen, she would continue voicing out her opinions and she can still do it through her Instagram and Facebook accounts.
Does she have a plan of re-activating her Twitter account?
Based on the report, Mariel de Leon answered in the negative. According to her, as she has observed, her Twitter account has led her to lots of troubles. Meanwhile, she expressed that she might come up with a new account as she wants to reach the Twitter community still.
“I still want to connect with people… I like that community, and maybe soon I will,” she said.
Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong’s beauty queen daughter expressed that she would still remain herself but she will think about the words that she will use before she will speak.
“People I guess are sensitive and they think too much about certain words… So, maybe, not only for me, but for people out there, should be careful on how they say things,” Mariel de Leon said.
