Miss Tapia ‘Mely Tagasa’ Now in Critical Condition

MELY TAGASA – The family of actress Mely Tagasa or more commonly known as ‘Miss Tapia’ is seeking prayers for her as she is now battling for her life.

Many would surely not forget the strict teacher in Iskul Bukol – Miss Tapia. The iconic character of a woman who always wears a strict look on the show with a fan on her hand is played by Mely Tagasa.

Currently, Mely is already 83 years old and she will be turning another year older on April 16. However, her family is facing a big challenge now as the former actress is confined in the hospital.

Based on a recent report in RMN, Mely Tagasa is in critical condition after she suffered from stroke.

According to the report, Mely Tagasa is currently confined in Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan. One of her children, Gina, revealed that the family has decided to take the intubation and she is now depending on the oxygen tank.

Gina reportedly prays that her mother would be given a good life as she will be celebrating her birthday next month. Many people have already extended their prayers for the recovery of the former actress and strength for their family in this trying times.

Mely Tagasa has worked with Kapuso stars Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto in Iskul Bukol. The three actors have played the roles of Victorio Ungasis, Josemari Escalera, and Joselito Escalera respectively.

The actress played the role of Liwayway Gawgaw Tapia or Miss Tapia, a resident professor at Wanbol University. Vic’s character is the favorite student of the role played by Mely.

Among the other casts of the comedy show aside from Tito, Vic, Joey, and Mely Tagasa are Bing Angeles who played the role of Artemis Batongbuhay and Anthony Raquel who played the role of Tonette Macho.
