Why did Richard Gutierrez have to raise his voice while hosting Binibining Pilipinas 2018 pageant?
RICHARD GUTIERREZ – Kapamilya actor Richard Gutierrez broke his silence on the issue about his hosting during the Binibining Pilipinas 2018 Coronation Night.
One of the recent events that sparked lots of news headlines is the ‘Binibining Pilipinas’ 2018 pageant wherein then-BB Pilipinas candidate Catriona Gray was crowned as the Miss Universe Philippines 2018 based on a report.
The hosts of the prestigious event were Kapamilya actor Richard Gutierrez who went up the stage looking dapper on his suit and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach who looked so stunning in her white dress.
However, while the pageant was going on, lots of netizens noticed the hosting of Richard Gutierrez. Many observed and claimed that the Kapamilya actor was “shouting” or raising his voice while he was hosting.
Richard’s actress and beauty queen sister Ruffa Gutierrez reacted on the matter and explained that there was a problem in the audio system and Chard and Pia had to raise their voice as they could not hear themselves.
Recently, through a social media post, Richard Gutierrez broke his silence and explained what really happened during the Binibining Pilipinas 2018 pageant. The Kapamilya actor started his message by stating that it’s an honor for him to host the event with the Miss Universe 2015.
Chard also expressed his best wishes and congratulations to Catriona Gray and as well as to all the candidates of the event. He then clarified the issue regarding the audio.
According to the Kapamilya actor, the audio system was “perfect” during their rehearsals but, during the live show, when he went up the stage for his opening spiels, the microphone kept turning off.
“This was edited out during the telecast. All throughout the show, Pia & I couldn’t hear ourselves, that’s why I had to raise my voice a few times,” he stated.
Based on his post, Richard Gutierrez expressed uncertainty if it’s caused by the audio system or the crowd’s “intense energy” inside the Coliseum. He stressed that technical difficulties spark up during live shows.
“As a professional, I continued doing my job and tried to sustain the energy of the crowd through out the night. No audio difficulties will stop me from doing my job in the best of my capabilities. As they say, THE SHOW MUST GO ON!” the actor stated in his post.
The attention of Richard Gutierrez’s followers on Instagram was hooked by his social media post. As of the writing, it has already reached more than fifty thousand likes online and lots of his followers dropped comments commending his excellent hosting of the event.
