The Philippines will experience longer days and shorter nights after the Vernal Equinox, which will happen today (March 21, 2018).

On Wednesday (March 21), the country experiences the Vernal Equinox wherein the subsolar point leaves the southern hemisphere and cross the celestial equator.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) explained that this phenomenon happens when the sun reaches the first point of Aries.
