LA FASHION WEEK – Celebrity daughter Kiana Valenciano, Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell and other Pinay models felt bad when banned to walk the runway during the LA fashion week.
The LA fashion week was supposed to be a milestone to Kiana Valenciano, daughter of Gary and Angeli Valenciano as she accordingly had the passion for fashion.

Thus, when invited to open a fashion show last Monday, the singer immediately flew to Los Angeles for it would be her first time to “walk in something this big” pertaining to LA fashion week.
However, on the night of the big event, her together with Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrel and other five Pinay models were banned to walk the runway and were denied backstage access.

When they asked why the producers told them that “no Filipinos” are allowed.
Based on an Instagram post from Angeli, they were confused because the designers were Filipino but Pinay models were banned to be at the event.
For over the alleged discrimination, Kiana said, “Whether be kindness, compassion, strength, dignity, the things that you stand for — no one can take that away from you, no one can tell you that you aren’t beautiful.”

“The way you look should be the last thing on your mind when it comes to beauty,” she explained.

Angeli also wrote in her post, “There were only three designers on that 9 pm slot. And two were Filipino – Rocky Gathercole and Resty Lagare. Filipino models could not walk for the Filipino designers? Thank you to Jacob Meir of For the Stars Fashion House for standing his ground and fighting for the Filipinos as the five models, Jamie and Kiana were his personal choices.”
