Kris Aquino shares post targetting those people tarnishing her mother’s legacy.
KRIS AQUINO – “Queen Of All Media” Kris Aquino hits to trolls making fake news tarnishing the legacy her mother Cory Aquino has done for the country.
Democracy is a kind of government referred to as “rule of the majority”.
In modern usage, is a system of government in which the citizens exercise power directly or elect representatives from among themselves to form a governing body, such as a parliament.
This is the legacy left by the former president and mother of Kris, Cory Aquino.
This is after People Power Revolution, a bloodless revolution, as a resistance to the violence and alleged electoral fraud under the authoritarian rule of President Ferdinand Marcos which has lasted for 21 years.
Thus, with so many changes through the years, there are some reports distorting what has been told about that part of history.
And Kris Aquino, as one of the faces of this historical event along with mother Cory Aquino, has defended the legacy of her mother.
In an Instagram post, Kris has written, “So much of our history is trying to be rewritten & erased by those paying their trolls & fake news purveyors to whitewash their culpability for the killings & suffering they inflicted on our country during the years before our democracy from the dictatorship in 1986.”
“We live in a democracy, a large part of that is thanks to her. Kaya malaya kayong sabihin ang lahat ng paninirang gusto nyong itapon sa aming pagkatao. Pero hindi ako naging dugo at laman ng babaeng ito kung hindi ko sya ipagtatanggol at ipamumukha sa mga walang respeto sa sumakabilang buhay na, yung putik na pilit nyong ginagamit para yurakan ang pagkatao nya ay kailanman hindi didikit dahil kasinungalingan ang pinanggagalingan,” she indicated.
