SUPER BLUE BLOOD MOON – Here are some of the best shots taken by famous local celebrities of the rare super blue blood moon.
According to a previous report, the much-awaited rare event has occurred on January 31 and this hyped the people.
It is the combination of a supermoon, blue moon, and blood moon happening at the same time.
A supermoon is where the moon appears larger and brighter compared to the usual full moon due to close distance to Earth.
While the blue moon usually occurs every two to three years and the blood moon is seen during a total lunar eclipse as it turns to red.
In Philippine time, the phenomenal event has been visible to the naked eye starting 8:51 to 10: 07 pm on Wednesday night.
As advised by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the rare event was really best witnessed away from city lights.
It was on December 30, 1982, when the last super blue blood moon in the Philippines appeared.
