PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates

The state weather bureau PAGASA releases the latest weather updates in the country on Wednesday (January 31, 2018).

On Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the Northern and Central Luzon are expected to experience overcast skies and scattered rain due to the northeast monsoon.

The weather system would affect the provinces of Cordillera Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and the Ilocos Region.

PAGASA said that Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to experience cloudy skies with isolated rain due to localized thunderstorms.

However, the weather agency did not give restrictions on sea travel as the coastal waters remain calm to slight.

The state weather bureau also said that stargazers and astronomers could best see the rare phenomenal “Super Blue Blood Moon” between 8:51 pm to 10:07 pm.

Super Blue Blood Moon is a combination of a supermoon, blue moon, and blood moon, which is a rare astronomical event.

The rare phenomenal event was last seen in the Philippines last December 30, 1982.
