“With ABS-CBN, I think it was my fault because when the contract was there, I should have signed it. It was a two-year deal guarantee and I didn’t sign it then. I didn’t sign at that point because that whole threat was real,” Kris said.

She was referring to the threat of the Abu Sayyaf to her and to her son Bimby in 2016.

Kris bid goodbye to her show KrisTV due to safety reasons for her work there requires her to be always out-of-town which would be really dangerous for them.

She then flew to the United States for a vacation and for some health reasons.

And when she returned, she lost her show and the show that was supposed to be made with Willie Revillame did not materialize.

But she remained “unsinkable” despite those things.

She indicated even, “It’s in my DNA!”

And further added, “I think that with my mom, you’re never allowed to feel self-pity. So, for me, I felt that if you’re closing avenues on me, I’m going to create my own skyway.”

And that is until she entered the digital world where she created her own show and reached the screens of the “millennials”.

She also endorses 22 brands including San Miguel Corp., BDO, PLDT, SM Supermalls, National Book Store, and among others the reason why her earnings, despite the loss of televisions show, remained and even surpassed her previous earnings.
