Heavy Rainfall Warning In Different Areas In Philippines Issued By PAGASA
The weather bureau PAGASA has issued a heavy rainfall warning in different areas in the Philippines due to the tail end of a cold front.
On Friday (December 29, 2017), The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) have issued corresponding rainfall warnings in various regions in the country.
The rainfall advisories have been issued due to the tail end of a cold front, which causes heavy rainfall in affected areas.
PAGASA has released a color-coded rainfall warnings indicating the intensity of the weather disturbance.
Red Alert Level (Community Response) – Serious flooding and landslides are expected.
- Albay
Orange Alert Level (Community Preparedness) – Low lying areas are threatened by flooding and landslides in mountainous areas.
- Catanduanes
Yellow Alert Level (Community Awareness) – Landslides is possible mountainous areas, while low-lying areas are prone to flooding.
- Sorsogon
- Camarines Sur
Camarines Norte could experience from light to moderate and occasional heavy rains.

The weather agency also advised the public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned to take appropriate actions in case of emergency.
