SUZETTE DOCTOLERO – The Kapuso writer Suzette Doctolero says something on social media about imitating “Arrow” in “Alyas Robinhood”.
Suzette Doctolero is a veteran writer of the Kapuso network known for creating Encantadia.
Her other works include Amaya, Indio, My Husband’s Lover, Let The Love Begin, Destined To Be Yours, My Faithful Husband, One True Love, Hiram Na Puso, My Lover My Wife, Impostora, Lupin, Daisy Siete, Alyas Robin Hood, and a lot more.
However, one of her latest work is the Alyas Robin Hood where the people have observed that it was like imitated from Arrow, a Hollywood television series.
“Arrow” is an American superhero television series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg which is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow.
Meanwhile, “Alyas Robin Hood” is a Filipino primetime series top-billed by Dingdong Dantes.
The reason why it has been accused of imitating the said American television series is that of the similarity of some other things such the costume.
And on the Twitter account of Suzette Doctolero is where she has indicated about the issue of imitation, “Guys, kung kinopya ang arrow, sana nagdemanda na sila di ba? Hollywood pa. mahigpit sa intellectual property law. O e asan? they tried, pinanood nga nila, wala sila nakita. fact check muna ha saka resibo. Dami hanash. Sa panahon now, na me google, di na dapat uso obob.”
In another post, she told, “Meantime, egohan na lang namin ito, and its not good, tapusin na and let’s focus na uli sa mga tunay na importanteng issues like [dengue] vaccine: chicken and egg dilemma- sino ba dapat bigyang sala? Lol.”
