But one netizen, a certain Daisy Dach has said, Last Dec 2, an individual who was a dog show exhibitor transported his dogs to the dog show in a closed van without ventilation. It was said that close to 40 dogs were in that vehicle. Once the vehicle reached the destination, it was discovered that some dogs were dehydrated, unconscious, and dead due to heat stroke. Some of the dogs were revived at the venue, almost all the dogs were rushed to the nearest Vet. Some of the dogs died the following day. Allegedly about 30 dogs died in total. PCCI does not condone this behavior, thus the individual is suspended. PCCI President Dinky Santos and Beagle Fanciers Club President Jed Chua witnessed the incident, and can actually file a legal complaint against the owner of the dogs who perished.
But from the statement released, they did not mention how long the suspension will be, or if they will be taking legal actions against the individual.”

  1. I hope this incident will awaken the poor transportation laws on pets world wide. Hundreds of dogs die yearly from poorly air conditioned flights and such. Having been showing dogs regularly I bet thousands die from such conditions as opposed from the survey of 10-40 dogs gying a year. From this year alone I have heard two dogs dying just from this. Furthermore, I have probably heard dozens of such stories from just this 5 years alone.
