Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters has arrived in Manila.
MISS UNIVERSE – This year’s reigning queen in Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, has finally arrived in Manila together with other beauty queens on Wednesday morning.
Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is this year’s Miss Universe succeeding the title and the crown from Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere from France.
She had bested other candidates in the competition and was hailed as this year’s queen.
And according to a report from the CNN Philippines, the two queens, Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere has arrived in the country.

They have landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Wednesday morning, December 6.
They are in the country as they are invited by the country’ Tourism Department.
Other queens who are with them are Miss Canada Lauren Howe, Miss Great Britain Anna Burdzy, Miss China Qiang Qiu, Miss Russia Ksnia Alexandrova, Miss Italy Maria Polverino, Miss Spain Sofia del Prado, Miss Netherlands Nicky Opheij, Miss Malaysia Samantha James, and Miss Singapore Manuela Bruntraege.
They have arrived in the country earlier on Tuesday as they will tour the wonders of the country.
Accordingly, the Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo led the welcoming of the candidates and their visit to the Philippines is a strategy to further promote the tourism of the country.
The beauty queens for four days will have to visit the various spots of the country including Batanes, Vigan, Bohol, and Camiguin.
They are also to “Women of Significance” gala night of the Tourism department and headline a fashion show in Pasay City on Saturday.
