Philippine Holidays in 2018 – Complete List

Here is the complete list of the official Philippine holidays and observances for the year 2018, which was issued by Malacañang Palace.

Many Filipino usually love holidays and vacations so they can rest a little bit longer and also spend more time with their family and loved ones.

Recently, Malacañang Palace has released the official list of regular holidays and special non-working holidays to be observed in the country next year.

Philippine Holidays

President Rodrigo Roa Dutertea also issued the Proclamation No. 269 declaring the national public holidays in the Philippines on 2018.

Regular Holidays:

  • January 1 (Monday) – New Year’s Day
  • March 29 – Maundy Thursday
  • March 30 – Good Friday
  • April 9 (Monday) – Araw ng Kagitingan
  • May 1 (Tuesday) – Labor Day
  • June 12 (Tuesday) – Independence Day
  • August 27 (Monday) – National Heroes Day
  • November 30 (Friday) – Bonifacio Day
  • December 25 (Tuesday) – Christmas Day
  • December 30 (Sunday) – Rizal Day

Special Non-Working Holidays

  • February 16 (Friday) – Chinese New Year
  • February 25 (Sunday) – EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary
  • March 31 – Black Saturday
  • August 21 (Tuesday) – Ninoy Aquino Day
  • November 1 (Thursday) – All Saints Day
  • December 31 (Monday) – Last Day of the Year

Additional Special Holidays

  • November 2 (Friday)
  • December 24 (Monday)

The president also ordered the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to disseminate the implementation of the holiday guidelines.
