Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters is now back in the country.
On Monday, December 4, the Miss Universe contestant arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on board Philippine Airlines flight PR 103 at exactly 5:35 a.m.
Rachel Peters returned home with a grateful heart despite failing to win the Miss Universe title.
“So to all the fans, to everyone, to all the Filipinos thank you so much. You know, as I’ve said, we didn’t bring home the crown but it was a wonderful experience for me and it was amazing to know that I had all of your support all the way and it means so much to me. Thank you so much. I love you guys,” she said.
According to an article published by Philstar.com, the 26-year-old old beauty queen has no regret upon joining the star-studded pageant.
Rachel Peters also expressed her happiness towards the victory of the South African beauty queen and newly crowned Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
“Obviously, my heart sunk, not for myself but mostly because I know so many people were excited for me. But you know, everything happens for a reason,” she noted.
During the Miss Universe tilt which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on November 26, Rachel Peters clinched on the top 10.
