Meanwhile, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on Friday, November 10, 2017, that Tropical Storm Salome continues to move in a West Northwestward direction and is now over the West Philippine Sea.
In an advisory issued by the state weather bureau at exactly 11 a.m. (November 10), Salome was last spotted at 175 km West of Subic, Olongapo (14.9 °N, 118.7 °E)
The tropical storm is forecast to move West Northwest at 20 kph with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
Meanwhile, all Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals issued by the state weather bureau earlier are now lifted.
Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) were suspended in several Local Government Units (LGUs) and institutions in the country due to Tropical Storm Salome.
Tropical Storm Salome is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Saturday morning (November 11, 2017).
