PAGASA Release Latest Weather Updates On Tropical Storm Salome

The state weather bureau PAGASA has released the latest weather updates and information regarding the Tropical Storm Salome.

On Friday (November 10, 2017), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued the latest weather updates about Bagyong Salome on their 2 am bulletin.

The weather bureau said that Tropical Storm Salome with an international name of Haikui starts to move away from the before Friday dawn and now off the coast of the Zambales-Bataan area.

Salome slightly slowed down and now moving 20 kilometers per hour (kph) west-northwest and last spotted about 55 kilometers southwest of Subic, Zambales.

Currently, the weather disturbance has maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and could gusts up to 100 kph.

However, Bataan and southern Zambales are still under storm signal no.2, while Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, northern Zambales, and northern Occidental Mindoro.

PAGASA also explained that the country could still experience from moderate to heavy rain although Salome begins to move away from land. There are also possibilities of flash floods and landslides.

The cl(–foul word(s) removed–) have been also suspended in some parts of Luzon on Friday due to the tropical storm. Sea travel was also risky under signal number 1 and 2.

Tropical Storm Salome was expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday morning (November 11, 2017).
