Class Suspension On Friday (November 10, 2017) Due To Tropical Depression Salome

The government officials have issued a class suspension on Friday (November 10, 2017) due to the Tropical Depression Salome.

Calapan City Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan announced on his official Facebook page that the cl(–foul word(s) removed–) on all levels in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro were suspended from Thursday to Friday (November 9-10, 2017).

Panaligan announced the class suspension due to the low-pressure area, which has intensified to a tropical depression named “Salome” that might further intensify.

“If it doesn’t change directions, cl(–foul word(s) removed–) are suspended in public and private schools now, November 9 and tomorrow, November 10,” said by Panaligan quoted by CNN.

The city mayor also warned the residents to prepare for possible flash floods and heavy rain due to the tropical storm.

Salome has maximum winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 80 kph moving 25 kph west-northwest.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) have raised signal no. 1 in different areas in Luzon and Visayas due t the tropical depression.

The weather disturbance will cross the Sibuyan Sea on late Thursday and will leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday (November 11, 2017).
