Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) were suspended on Thursday, November 9, 2017, in several Local Government Units (LGUs) and institutions in the country due to Tropical Depression Salome.

Meanwhile, based on the latest weather update released by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Tropical Depression Salome has slightly intensified as it crosses Ticao Pass.
Salome was last spotted at 50 km South Southwest of Juban, Sorsogon (12.6 °N, 123.8 °E), as per advisory issued at exactly 11:00 a.m.
Salome has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
According to PAGASA, Tropical Depression Salome is expected to traverse Sibuyan sea this afternoon.
PAGASA also noted that sea travel remains risky over areas under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal #1 due to moderate to rough seas.
Salome is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Saturday morning (November 11, 2017).
