Joey de Leon Suspend Himself On Eat Bulaga For His Mistakes
The Filipino TV host Joey de Leon suspend himself on the longest-running noontime show “Eat Bulaga” after the controversy over his remarks on depression.
Previously, Joey de Leon has been the headlines of numerous social media pages and local news outlets after giving his colorful remarks about depression, a mental health condition that taking thousands of lives every year.
The veteran host said that the health condition was just a made up one after an elderly woman who was a contestant on the noontime show admitted that she was suffering from depression.
De Leon’s remarks garnered criticisms from the public and negative feedbacks from the netizens in the social media.
Eventually, the 70-year-old comedian has issued a public apology and also apologized to Maine Mendoza over his distasteful remarks on the mental condition.
Recently, the Eat Bulaga host has uploaded his photo on his Instagram account announcing that he suspends himself from the noontime show for making a mistake. The celebrity considers his suspension as a vacation and spent it with a pound of a tour.
The photo has a caption of “I made a mistake and I’m suspending myself…”An ounce of suspension is worth a pound of tour!” Ngek!”
The netizens also lauded the TV personality for acknowledging his mistakes and sincerely repent on what he has done. Here are some of the comments:

I think you need to read the news and his post in his instagram AGAIN. He already issued a public apology. So, what he posted was not a public apology but a comment instead. I don’t think he needs to repeat his public apology every now and then. “NO ONE IS PERFECT, PO”. ?

Humingi na nga nang patawad ang tao pero maraming pang nagmamagaling, kung hindi pa naman sincere ang tao, idadamay pa ba nya ang anak at asawa nya sa controversy? Matuto sana tayong makuntento at ganun na rin suriin ang mismong sarili bago mang husga.

Gumagawa lang ng palusot ang kupal na yan dahil wala na siyang alam kundi gumawa ng kasamaan sa mundo tang ina mo dadalawin ka parin ng konsensya mo sa ginawa mo . Hindi man lahat na ipahayag pero alam mo sa sarili mo yung totooo wag mong bulagin ang eat bulaga dahil may tao paring na niniwala sa tagutaguan at alam mo kung saan naka tago ang lahat ng iyan.

Only God knows if apology is really sincere or not. It will be better if he said it on a face to face to that person. Apology in public is one, but 99.99% if he shows himself to that person & say the word, that is effort it self and believable.
