Active shooter shooting in Las Vegas takes place.
LAS VEGAS – An active shooter has been reportedly shooting at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas to which police scanners announced to have “multiple casualties.”
According to a news report from the Facebook page World News Now, there was at least one gunman who had opened fire during a country music festival which is being held on the Las Vegas strip near the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
Videos which have surfaced in the social media community has shown the horrible situation of the active shooting.
The sound even of what seemed like to be a prolonged automatic gunfire can also be heard.
There are reports of multiple casualties from the authorities and the police officers are advising the people to avoid the area.
Armed Police officers are also situated outside the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
One comment obtained from the report as it was posted on Facebook says, “Omg I’m here. We are all on lockdown. It’s so bad. Praying for everyone.”
Another told, “This is my hometown and reports are of other active shooting’s across the strip and a possible bomb threat. This is insane and breaks my heart for my city.”
