“The Voice Kids Season 1” was one of the most historical events in the Philippine television. The show has enhanced the talents and singing skills of the kid contestants with help of three coaches Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, and Bamboo.
On July 27, 2014, Lyca Gairanod from Team Sarah has been dubbed as the first ever grand champion of “The Voice Kids”. The lives of Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo, and Darlene Vibares were also changed because of the talent show.
However, do you even think of what happened to these kids three years after the finale, which was aired three years ago? Here are the lives now of the four finalists of The Voice Kids Season 1.
Lyca Gairanod
Lyca was the first ever grand champion of the talent show who sang Aegis’ “Basang-basa sa Ulan” in the third round of the finals. She was only 9-years-old when she joined the singing contest.
Darren Espanto
Darren who also came from team Sarah was one of the runner-up who sang “Somebody to Love” by Justin Bieber and “You Are My Song” by Martin Nievera.
JK Labajo
Juan Karlos of Team Bamboo was the third placer of the talent show who sang the “Yesterday” by The Beatles, “Runaway Baby” by Bruno Mars, and “Eto Na Naman” by Gary Valenciano.
Darlene Vibares
Darlene of Team Lea got the fourth place who sang “Louder” of Charice Pempengco and “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me” by Lani Misalucha.
