The summit will be participated by leaders from five emerging economies including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS).

China and Russia will be the most affected by the sanctions set by the United States on their regime against the communist country. These two countries are the major trade partners of North Korea, especially China that has 90 percent participation on the trade.

“The most possible discussion on North Korea will appear in bilateral talks between China and Russia,” said by Shi Yinhong, a prominent Chinese international relations expert from Renmin University in Beijing quoted by SCMP.

The UN trade date also shows that Brazil and South Africa are less vibrant on North Korean exports, which were only valued at $15.6 million. While India was the third largest trading partner of the communist country 2015 and 2016.

Shi said that the North Korean nuclear crisis would not be a major issue on the meeting because BRICS summit has already its own agenda.
