Ogie Diaz Reveals Reason Of His Refusal To Manage Daniel Padilla

The comedian Ogie Diaz has revealed the reason why refused to become the talent manager of the popular actor Daniel Padilla.

Ogie Diaz is a Filipino comedian, actor and a show business reporter who started his career as an assistant to Cristy Fermin at Mariposa Publications. He was also known as Pekto for his characted in a TV show entitled “Palibhasa Lalake.”

Diaz was also a talent manager of some popular Filipino celebrities. He was also the former manager of the actor/comedian Vice Ganda and now the manager of the popular actress Liza Soberano.

Recently, the talent manager revealed that he met one of his female friend in a bar and offered him to manage her child. The comedian narrated that the place was too dark and can’t clearly see the kid who was very thin at that time.

The 47-year-old actor said that he refused to manage the kid because he still confused and not yet ready to handle another talent.

“So noong time na ‘yon, sabi ko, ‘sandali, mayroon akong mina-manage pa at gulong-gulo pa ‘yung isip ko kasi hindi pa ako full-fledged na manager. Baka isipin mataas masyado ang expectation sa akin,” said by Diaz quoted by ABS-CBN.

After a few years, Diaz and his female friend met again and told him that he was supposed to be the manager of the young star. But the comedian humbly replied that the kid would still have his popularity even without him.

Ogie Diaz revealed that the kid was DJ or popularly known as Daniel Padilla who was one of the stars of the television series “La Luna Sangre,” and his female friend was Karla Estrada, the mother of Daniel.
