Pacquiao-Horn Rematch Close To Finalization, Bob Arum Says
Top Rank Inc. promoter Bob Arum said that the proposed rematch of Manny Pacquiao and Jeff Horn was close to finalization.
Previously, the most anticipated match between the Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Jeff Horn becomes the center of controversy after horn won against the Pinoy boxer via unanimous decision last July 02, 2017 at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.
Most of the boxing fans and sports fanatics were disappointed and not convinced with the judges’ decision regarding the controversial match. Five judges chosen by the World Boxing Organization (WBO) has reviewed the Pacquiao-Horn match and 3 of them gave the victory for the Australian boxer.
The Filipino boxer humbly accepted and respected the decision of the judges although he was suspecting that the scorecards result was manipulated.
Recently, Bob Arum of Top Rank Inc. said that they are close to sealing the rematch between the Filipino and Australian boxer. The promoter also said that he will conduct a background check on the judges for the possible Pacquiao-Horn rematch.
The possible rematch of Pacman and Horn was expected to be scheduled before the end of 2017.
