Annabelle Akaogi, a netizen, shared how she lost her entire savings on her account in a famous bank because of the minimum balance fees.
Recently, a post from the Pinoy History Facebook page had gone viral because of Annabell Akaogi’s experience in BDO.
According to the post that she shared, she slammed the BDO, a famous bank company in the Philippines, for closing her account.
It was then she found out that her entire savings were drained because of the minimum balance fees being deducted from her money which accordingly serves as a service charge.
Worth P300 was deducted from her money every month.
She presented a copy of her bank book which is P5603 back in March 2014. The account remained asleep until it ran out of money in February 2015.
She questioned the credibility of the bank. She seems to be enraged because instead of saving, she lost all the money she earned through working hard.
At the latter part of the post, she warned other customers about the bank if they are planning to open an account in it.
This post immediately went viral gaining more than 25,000 reactions and was shared for also more than 31,000 times.

“Heto na ‘yung bank book ko sa BDO may laman sya dating 5,603, di’ ko sya nagalaw ng 3 years kaya pina up date ko. Ang sabi sa akin wala nang laman ‘close account’ na daw. ‘Yun pala sila pala ang nagbabawas ng 300 per month service charge daw?
Anong klaseng banko ito, imbes makapag-ipon ka ng pakonte-konte binabawasan pa pala nila, kaya buti na lng yan lng ang laman ng account ko tama nga ang balibalita tungkol sa BDO bank.
Kaya kung ako sa inyo, lahat ng may balak mag saving account sa BDO, huwag nyo nang ituloy imbes na magkaroon ka ng savings, ang mangyayari sa inyo unsavings.”
