Veteran actor Christopher de Leon has a message over the tandem of her beauty queen daughter Mariel with award-winning actor, Coco Martin.
Bb. Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel de Leon will star as the leading lady of Coco Martin in the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, “Ang Panday.”
When asked what’s his message over daughter’s tandem with Coco Martin, Christopher de Leon said: “Sabi naman ni Coco aalagaan niya yung anak ko, he’s a nice guy.
“She’s in safe hands, yung offer as Coco Martin’s leading lady, it’s an offer you cannot refuse,” Christopher added.
“Medyo apprehensive siya when it comes to her acting. But sabi nga ng one of my friends, even my mom said, nanggaling sa pelikula at telebisyon…
“Sa entertainment business ang pinakain mo diyan, it’s in her blood, so why not?
The 60-year-old actor said that he and his wife Sandy Andolong are happy for their beauty queen daughter.
According to an article published by PEP.ph, Christopher de Leon and his wife consider giving advice to their daughter especially in acting including the proper attitude on and off the camera.
Meanwhile, Ang Panday will hit theaters on December 25, 2017 (Christmas Day) along with other entries including; “The Revengers,” starring Vice Ganda, Daniel Padilla, and Pia Wurtzbach; “Almost is Not Enough” starring Jennylyn Mercado and Jericho Rosales; and “Love Traps #FamilyGoals” starring Vic Sotto and Dawn Zulueta.
Ang Panday mark as the acting debut of Mariel de Leon.
Ang Panday is based on the eponymous comic book character created by Carlo J. Caparas. It is directed and starred by Coco Martin.
