Mariel de Leon will star in “Panday” as leading lady of Coco Martin.
The leading lady of the actor to his Metro Manila Film Festival movie “Panday” will be the beauty queen Mariel de Leon.
Rounds over the internet have been making noises as to who will be the leading lady of the actor on his movie that have been included on the first four movie entries for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
Coco Martin’s movie is entitled “Panday”.
Among the actresses whose have been rooting by the supporters to be his leading lady are Bela Padilla, Julia Montes, Yassi Pressman, and Maja Salvador, all of whom are known for being his love team on television screens.
But it was seen on the Instagram account of the multi-awarded actor that his leading lady for the movie will be the newly crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel de Leon.
The Panday will also be directed by the actor himself and was accepted at the movie festival based on the script that was submitted.
As per the report of the Rappler, Mariel is the daughter of actors Cristopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong.
She had just accordingly met the actor for the first time during the conference of the movie held at the Fernwood Gardens in Quezon City on Tuesday, July 4.
Being interviewed, she had stated that she was ‘so lucky’ and ‘so blessed’ that she actually find it ‘unbelievable’.
The beauty queen did not reveal yet the name of her character for it was still on its development stage.
And for the preparation for her character she indicated, “Well of course, I want to study my character and ask my parents for more advice on what I can do in terms of acting. And maybe I’ll take workshops na rin and work on my Tagalog.”
Based upon he statement, she is willing to do some kissing scenes with Coco Martin, but doing beyond than that is not going to happen.
