Mass Graves Alleged Used By Parajinogs To Bury Their Victims Found By Ozamiz City Police

The Ozamiz City police have discovered the believed mass graves, which was allegedly used by Parojinog Family for their victims.

Previously, the authorities have raided the residence of the Parajinog Family on the suspicion that they are drug lords. The raid has killed Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr., his wife, and 14 others after resisting arrest. President Rodrigo Dutere has also tagged as one of the narco-politicians in the Philippines.

On Friday (August 04, 2017), the authorities went to Brgy. Cogon in Ozamiz City after receiving reports of suspected dumping grounds, which was allegedly used by the Parojinog family to bury their victims.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) said that the residents were complaining about the foul odor coming from the area.

Ozamiz police chief Inspector Jovie Espenido led the excavation in the area. He also claimed that the Parojinogs might be burying the robbery victims who were not locals and suspected government assets in the area.

Heavy equipment was also brought in the operation and the two wells were dug up, which contains trash and pieces of bones. The bones will be taken to Regional Lab Crime laboratory for processing.

Espenido also said that the property was the bones were found was allegedly owned by a certain Marlon Parojinog, a former councilor who eventually resigned. Marlon was the nephew of the late Ozamiz City mayor.

Leonarda Macayran, the Brgy. Capt, of Cogon Village, also said that people did not see that a body dumped in the area, but there’s stench in the air.

The police chief claimed that Marlon was also a member of the notorious “Martilyo Gang”. He also said that relatives of Parojinogs should be afraid if they did something illegal, but they don’t have to be afraid if they were not really involved.
