Manny Pacquiao Ready To Join Government Troops In Fighting The Terrorists In Marawi City
Senator Manny Pacquiao has visited Camp Ranao in Marawi City and allegedly said that he is ready to join the soldiers in fighting the terrorists.
On Saturday (July 29, 2017), the Filipino boxing champion and now lawmaker Manny Pacquiao went to Marawi City to visit the soldiers based in Camp Ranao who were fighting the Maute Terror Group from spreading terrorism in the region.
Pacman expressed his sympathy to the family of the soldiers who died during their encounter with the militants. He was also set to give an inspirational message and boost the morale of the Filipino soldiers assigned in the besieged city.

During the visit, the 38-year-old lawmaker jokingly said that he is willing to join the Filipino soldiers who were fighting the Maute Group in Marawi City if he will be invited.
Pacquiao joined the reserve force of the Philippine military last April 27, 2006, as a sergeant. Eventually, the boxer was promoted to technical sergeant, master sergeant, and senior master sergeant. Now, he has a rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Reserve Force of Philippine Army.
While the senator was giving his speech in Camp Ranao, the gun battle between the government forces and the extremists still continues.

The lawmaker also encouraged the soldiers to be courageous and pursue their offensive actions against the extremists as the gun battle was confined to just about two and a half barangays or less than one square kilometer.
