Just like Aiza Seguerra who said that there is nothing wrong in her move to change her name most especially if it helps in freeing herself, there were those who have expressed support towards the controversial move of the singer.
Meanwhile, there were also those who did not like and support Jake Zyrus’ move. One of those people is her very grandmother, Thess Pineda.
Based on a previous news report, the grandmother of the singer said that she does not tolerate the move of her granddaughter. She also expressed her worries that Charice might lost the things that she have worked hard for.
According to Thess, many of the properties of her granddaughter have been sold already. The grandma of the singer stressed that she was born as Charice Pempengco and she will die as Charice Pempengco.
Based on a recent entertainment report in ABS-CBN, when asked about her reaction on what her grandmother has said regarding her decision to change her name, Jake Zyrus said that she understands her reaction.
According to her, her grandma is getting old and she asked the people to just understand her.
The singer made it clear that ‘Jake Zyrus’ is just her screen name based on the report. However, it is going to play a big part on her transition.
Jake also shared that she is taking testosterone or male hormones now. Visibly, she’s starting to grow some mustache and her voice has changed. According to the singer, as of the moment, she is focusing on the taking of testosterone hormones.
