Blood Samples Taken From Niño Rey Boniel’s Motorized Boat Matched With Saliva Swab Taken From Gisela’s Mother
The saliva swab taken from Gisela Boniel’s mother matched with the blood samples taken from the motorized boat allegedly used by Niño Rey Boniel’s Boat.
Previously, the death of Bien Unido Mayor Gisela Bendong-Boniel has been the headlines of the news in the different regions in the country. She was allegedly abducted and her remains were thrown into the waters.
Bohol Provincial Board Member Niño Rey Boniel was the primary suspect of the authorities in killing the Bien Unido mayor. He was accused as the gunman who shoots his own wife and dumped into the sea, but the authorities were still conducting an investigation.
Niño Rey Boniel also undergone a paraffin test, which turned into a negative result. The PNP Crime Laboratory did not find any gunpowder on the hands of the suspect. He also denied all the allegations against him and insisting his innocence.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) also took DNA samples from the mother of Gisela, which has been compared to the blood samples taken from the scene where Gisela was murdered before she was dumped in the sea.
The Senior Supt. Jonathan Cabal of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) confirmed that the DNA samples taken from the saliva swab of Gisela’s mother has matched with the blood sample taken from the motorized boat owned by Niño Rey Boniel.
“Nag match ang DNA sa blood sample nakuha sa boat and sa mother ni mayora,” said by Cabal.

“The blood sample found in the motorized banca allegedly used by Bohol Provincial Board Member Niño Rey Boniel and his other cohorts matched with the saliva swab taken from the mother of Bien Unido Mayor Gisela Bendong–Boniel.
In a text message, Regional Intelligence Division (RID) chief, Senior Supt. Jonathan Cabal revealed that the DNA test was positive.
“Nag match ang DNA sa blood sample nakuha sa boat and sa mother ni mayora,” Cabal said after a text from the Regional Crime Laboratory (RCLO) chief.
However, the report is still deemed as unofficial and unconfirmed as the results are set to arrive early next week from Camp Crame headquarters.
Police took saliva swabs from Gisela’s mother and siblings to test the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sample from the bloodied banca to prove if the seacraft was indeed the one that was boarded by the suspects where Niño shot and killed Gisela and later on sailed from Bien Unido Bohol to the waters of Caubian Island in Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City on the dawn of June 7.
