Aga Muhlach’s old love letter to Lea Salonga.
LOVE LETTER – This love letter of Aga Muhlach to Lea Salonga has been published years ago but it was just recently that it got viral and touched the hearts of a lot of people.
Many years have been counted and had passed but the classic love tandem of Aga and Lea never ceased.
People can’t still stop gushing about it and they just could not get over it more when this love letter to Lea surfaced on the internet.
The love letter of Aga written a striking introduction which said, “Leah is the one that got away and she never knew.”
He stated on the letter how Lea saved him out from deep downfall in his life and in his career.
He wrote on the letter, “She never knew how she saved me. It was 1992, and I was at the very bottom of the industry. Walang-wala ako noon. Wala akong pera, wala akong (I had nothing. I had no money. I had no career) career, but with ‘Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal’ I made my comeback.”
He even indicated that it was the “right movie with the right girl at the right time”.
Furthermore, “Dahil sa kanya umangat ako. That movie saved me. Lea saved me.”
The letter also indicated his confession of love for Lea.
“She never knew how much I loved her. It was a lifetime ago, I was a young man on fire with passion, as all young men of a certain age are. I wooed fair ladies and dreamed of shaping the world. And, to me Lea was Sandy—ethereal, aloof, unattainable; my very heart’s desire. Lea was Agnes—vulnerable yet remote, kind yet callous, constantly engaged in a battle of wills. And I loved Andy and Agnes and Lea in equal measure. I love her still, but perhaps because she got away. I have her as a friend now, and so I will always have her. Anytime she needs me, andyan ako, anytime I need her, she’s there.”
