‘Daddy’s Girl’ video from Youtube Channel SM Supermalls is a tribute to all the fathers around the world for this upcoming Father’s Day.
Truly, fathers are not that clingy and affectionate. Yet behind those hard features they show to other people, deep down in them, they genuinely care and love.
Fathers has this reputation to be strong at all times, for every member of the family depends on him.
His wife, son/s and daughter/s, they all rely to him may it be financially or emotionally.
And this tribute video to all the fathers in courtesy of SM Megamalls, have put a lot of people in tears and in laughter as well.
Inspiring as it is but the realization upon watching until the end is really striking.
The story of the video is about the father who is suppressing his real emotion towards his daughter or rather his ‘baby’ who is turning 18.
He does not show to his wife and daughter how emotional he gets in pondering that his daughter is not a baby anymore but already a grown up woman.
He tends to hide anywhere every time he pours out his tears and his true feelings.
And the day that his daughter turned 18 is also the time he just cannot contain all his emotions.
On the video, the girl praised both her parents and stresses out each role in her life and what she to her father is, “And of course, Daddy! Our superhero! Thank you po kasi ibinibigay niyo ang lahat sa akin, sa amin ni Mommy. I just want you to know dad nakahit hindi ka po masyadong malambing, for me, you’re still the best daddy.”
Well, it will never be too late to show your father how much you love him. And not just your father, to your mother too.
