The Arrival Of Maute Terror Group Members In Marawi City Caught On Camera
The arrival of Maute Terror Group members in Marawi City last May 24, 2017 before the exchange of deafening gun fires began was caught on camera.
A resident of Marawi City identified as “Faridah” showed the video of the arrival of Maute group in Barangay Marinaut. The residents were wondering upon their arrival without thinking that the group would cause terrorism in the city.
The terrorists were riding on an ambulance, which they took from Amai Pakpak Hospital.
Maute arrived wearing black shirts and carrying firearms while waiting from a shed of a certain house in the city.
Faridah said that the group was teaching Islam to the residents and even rebuked them of their alleged wrongdoings. She also asked why the Maute was chaotic, but the group replied that Islamic City like Marawi should prohibit residents from gambling and other vices.
One of the residents asked the group of what do they want? The Maute member answered that they want to practice Islam. Faridah said that the members of Maute group were too young and seems to be rich, reading the Quran while pointing their high-caliber weapons.
After a few moment, Faridah and her neighborhoods immediately flee due to fear of Maute group.
The names of Omar and Abdulla Maute becomes the news headline nationwide as reports were pointing them as the primary leaders of the Maute Terror Group. Omar and Abdullah was estimated at their 20’s when they started the radical crusade, which leads to terrorism.
Previously, Farhana Maute, mother of Maute sibling was arrested together with Zulkifli Maute and Abu Basher Sulaiman, who was identified as Aliasgar Maute, brother of Zulfiki. The two also even denied their involvement in the terrorist group.
The authorities also discovered that Aliasgar and Zulfiki were cousins of Omar and Abdullah Maute. Zulfiki and Aliasgar died in an ambush allegedly initiated by a police convoy while heading to Cagayan de Oro last weekend.
