Marawi Heroes: Names Of Cops, Soldiers Who Faced Death Amid Intense Firefight

The list goes on with the names of heroes in Marawi that got killed in action against battle with Maute terror group.

MARAWI – Heroes who died against intense firefight between the terror group will not remain unnoticed for they will forever be remembered for their valor and patriotism.

According to the report of the Rappler, Police Inspector Edwin Placido, deputy chief of Marawi City Police was one of those heroes who had an ill-fate as he faces his death fighting for peace.

Basing upon the list that was released by the Presidential Communications Operations Office on Friday, June 9, there were at least 45 death of the heroes were listed.

The president of the Philippines Rodrigo Roa Duterte have honored the fallen men.

In his speech at Camp Iranun on Friday in Sultan Kudarat he said, “It is my honor to express my deepest admiration and gratitude for your fallen comrades who put themselves on the line to keep our country safe and strong. Your valiant efforts will not go unnoticed. The country and people are forever grateful to our brave soldiers.”
