Just recently, Risa Hontiveros went to UNTV wherein she was interviewed by host Daniel Razon in the segment, “Get it Straight with Daniel Razon.”
Watch her interview below.
The 51-year-old old politician was a given a chance to explain her stand on the crisis in Marawi.
According to her, what Maute Group are doing doesn’t fall as rebellion or invasion.
Meanwhile, Erwin Tulfo slammed her for apparently “praising” the Maute Group and allegedly calling the extremists as “epitome of courage and resilience.”
On the other hand, Risa Hontiveros earlier reacted on the “fake news” of her allegedly backing the extremists.
“Yesterday, I was again the target of a vicious fake news campaign wherein I was depicted to be very supportive of the Maute group,” said Hontiveros in a forum at the De La Salle University-Manila.
Risa Hontiveros strongly stated in the forum that the “Maute group is a terrorist group” and an “enemy of peace and development, particularly the people of Mindanao.”
“What they did to Marawi is a terrorist act that must be condemned by all,” the senator added.

Im pretty sure Ms Hontiveros knows the definition of rebellion but to disengage the term from what Maute did to Marawi is disengenious. I reckon she is only seeking relevance, first as opposition, second as nonperson in current politics. My take on Hontiveros, she is ignorant, arrogant and she belongs to the Manila imperialists, imposing their ‘power’ on Mindanao. My word for her, know and understand the situation in Mindanao, study history and spend time there. FYI, speaking on behalf of fellow Mindanaoans, marshall law is the right response to the crises in Marawi.
