Zaijan Jaranilla Doesn’t Miss Being A Popular Child Star
The Filipino actor Zaijan Jaranilla or known as Santino said in an interview that he doesn’t miss being a popular child star anymore.
Zaijan Jaranilla is a Filipino child star who started his career on the children’s sketch comedy show “Goin’ Bulilit”. He earned his popularity by playing the main role of the teleserye “May Bukas Pa” as Santino on 2009.
Since then, the child actor became popular and has numerous projects but he was not able to make many movies. He had his last movie project “24/7 In Love” 3 years ago and it was not followed by another film projects.
The 15-year-old actor explained that he was not able to make movie projects because the network’s administration gives him more role on teleseryes. He also said that he was only enabled to make 3 movies for his entire showbiz career.
The actor also said that he is still in showbiz, in fact, he is guesting in “MMK” and “Ipaglaban Mo”. He also said that he doesn’t miss being a child star when he was asked if he misses being a child star, wherein he always plays the main role in different TV series.
“Pero parang pag naaalala ko, ang saya lang, pero hindi ko siya nami-miss. At saka nandito pa rin naman po ako hanggang ngayon,” said by Jaranilla quoted by ABS-CBN.
Jaranilla also said that he doesn’t even miss the huge income he earned from tapings, for he is very practical and able to save money. He also hopes that he can gain his popularity again as he prepares his new show.
The former child star said that he was excited to have a love team. He will also play the role of young Christopher de Leon in the movie “The Possible Dream”.
