Pinay Domestic Helper With Cancer Kicked Out By Heartless Employer In Hong Kong
A heartless employer in Hong Kong threw out and leave her Pinay domestic helper at the streets around early hours of dawn.
Cancer is one of the leading cause of death all around the world, which makes the patient’s body weak. Some patients diagnosed with cancer still dies even he/she undergoes several treatments and medications.
A 40-year-old Filipina domestic helper identified as Joan was thrown out by her employer in Hong Kong after she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in stages 3 and 4. At first, her employer understands her after having a great working relationship in the past, but she Joan had used up all her sick leave credits her employer start to change.
Joan was a mother of 3 children and working with her employer in Hong Kong as a domestic helper for already 2 years. She was just renewed her contract last January 2017, but everything has changed when she suffered too much pain last March 2017.
The Filipina domestic helper immediately undergoes treatment at Tseung Kawn-o Hospital but she had to use her days off on her job. When she had already used up all her sick leave credits her employer had a change of heart.
Carla Temporosa, Joan’s friend said that she and Joan had gone to their church in Yau Ma Tei during their day off last April 2017. Temporosa also revealed that Joan told her that she was only allowed to sleep when her employer arrived and she was woken up after midnight to pack up.
