Rolando Navarrete is a 60-year-old Filipino boxer who held a junior lightweight (super featherweight) world title in the 1980s. He was known for his powerful punches and incredible boxing skills and among the greatest Filipino knockout artists.
The former boxing champion has a total 72 fights, 54 wins with 31 knockouts, 15 losses, and 3 draws. He was ranked as the 9th best super featherweight champion in history. He was involved in different troubles and decided to retire from boxing after series of losses against unranked contenders and local boxers.
Navarette has a total of 7 children from different women and also spent 3 years in US prison for a rape case. He was also involved in different complaints including drug abuse and wife battery. He was also involved in various troubles after boxing.
Currently, the former boxing champion relies on buying and selling fish and earning about P800 daily. He also said that he already regrets from his previous actions and decision leading him to his current life.
The retired boxer has also a son named Rolando Gabriel Navarrete Jr. who’s now making his own identity in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Gab also said that his life becomes tough without a father who will guide him.
The Bad Boy from Dadiangas might be tough but he was still hoping that someday he can be with his children again.
