The real life Jack Dawson suing the 62-year-old director for $300 million and 1 percent of the film’s royalties after grossed over $2.187 billion. The romantic movie was replaced by Cameron’s another blockbuster hit entitled “Avatar”.
Cameron also stated that if Cummings is the real life, Jack Dawson, he must be already dead after soaking in freezing temperature water and his brain would start to get hypothermia.
“Which means you’re underwater trying this thing on in the 28-degree water, and that’s going to take you five to ten minutes, so by the time you come back up you’re already dead. So that wouldn’t work. His best choice was to keep his upper body out of the water and hope to get pulled out by a boat or something before he died,” said by Cameron quoted by MSN.
