A lady was allegedly harassed by the doctor attending her during her consultation in the hospital.
DOCTOR – A lady patient shared her experience during her consultation in the hospital when this doctor, who also happens to attend her medical needs, harassed her verbally.
According to the status posted by the patient Joyce Evangelista on her Facebook account, she shared her experience not to give the hospital a bad reputation but to warn her fellows to be aware.
Based on her post, it is a certain Dr. Enrique Collantes and a group of medical practitioners at the Marikina Valley Medical Center in the emergency area were with her during the event.
The incident actually happened to her last May 9.
Her post says that he had a twisted ankle so she sought for medical attention and went to the hospital with her daughter.
She needed an X-ray just like what the old man she met told her and so she did so.
When they were on the ER , the old man started to give instructions to the nurses in the said area and that’s when she realized that the old man she met is a doctor of the said hospital.
The old man has indeed attended to her twisted ankle but what caught her off-guard is when he started to ask her questions very irrelevant to her condition.
The doctor was already asking her personal questions including her relationship with her husband.
But what pissed her more is that she was addressing the old man ‘po’ and ‘opo’ as a sign of respect but the old man said was, “Ano nga nangyayari sa namomopo satin?” and the man on the counter answered, “Nabubuntis”.
She really felt harassed that time but she still managed stay longer for her treatment for she have work the day after.
According to the post, the doctor said more vulgar words to her and he was even inviting her to see him whenever she needs medical attention.
