Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson denied being a “blind supporter” President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a statement released by the appointed communications assistant secretary, she refuted the earlier message of detained Senator Leila de Lima that she’s a blind supporter of the president.
She told Uson to stop following Duterte, “who may ask you to apply your talent and gift to sow discord or to persecute those who displease him.”
“Nagpapasalamat po ako at meron po syang mensahe na huwag maging blind follower. Hindi po ako blind follower ni PRRD,” told Inquirer.net and other members of the press.
Mocha Uson aired her statement during her visit to the Senate in support of the appointment of Alan Peter Cayetano as secretary of Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
She also made a sideline about De Lima.
“Mensahe ko naman po sa kanya (De Lima): The truth will set you free. Kaya we can’t escape the consequences of our actions at ang tunay na kapayapan at kalayaan ay yung meron kang peace of mind… Sana ay aminin na nya ang ginawa nyang mali at doon lang sya magkakaroon ng tunay na kalayaan,” Mocha Uson said.
Senator Leila de Lima has been arrested and detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center for allegedly orchestrating a drug-trafficking ring while she was justice secretary under the administration of Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino.
